Paper jamming issues in the Ricoh Printers are quite common.  The printer and the paper jam seem to be running side by side. Methods to Fix Paper Jamming Issue in Ricoh Printer

Method 1: Fix paper jam occurs in the internal paper feed path

When a paper jam occurs in the internal paper feed path, the error message “Open the front cover and remove the paper.” is displayed. The temperature inside the printer may be high. Before removing the paper around the fuser unit, wait until the temperature of the cover in the fuser unit and paper conveying unit cools.

Step 1. Pull the front cover lever and carefully open the front cover with both hands.
