How to scan on Canon Printer – Canon printer is used widely as it is as the printers keep up with the latest technology, the excellent quality however as an individual if one is not able to scan can take steps as below:

Preparing to Scan from Canon Printer

• Ensure that the printer is connected to the computer

• Turn on the printer

Open the scanner

• Place the document face-down

• Close the lid of the scanner

Steps to Scan from Canon Printer

1. Scanning on Canon printer to Windows 10

• Look for the windows icon and into search type Windows fax and scan

• On this page at the top right side hit on Windows Fax and Scan which will lead the app to open

• Look for the option of a new scan and click on the same

• On this window look for the printer’s model number and if you are not able to locate the same hit on Change and so select your printer

• Now for selecting the type of document hit on Profile drop-down box and choose the type of document you want to scan

• In order to select the color of the document, hit on Color- format and you can either select color or Black and white

• Now you be required to select the file type from the drop-down which you want to store the scanned document on the computer as JPEG or PDF

• One can also look for additional features like resolution and so forth one can change prior to scanning

• Hit on preview and you will be able to see the preview of the scanned document

• Hit on Scan one can see the same at the bottom of the page and in case if one wants to see the document later then

o  Open Start

o  Open File explorer

o  Hit on the documents on the left side of the window

o  In order to open the Scanned Documents folder double click on the same

2. Scanning on Canon printer to MAC

• You are required to open the Mac menu which can see at the top

• You will be able to see drop-down box hit on system preferences

• Hit on Printers & Scanners on the right side of the page

• One will be required to look for the Canon model and hit on the same

• On this window select Scan

• In the Scan tab window click on Open Scanner

• Look for the option Show details which is on the lower- right side of the window

• Select the file type that you wish to use in order to store the scanned file as JPEG or PDF

• In order to select the color of the document select Color from the drop-down menu and select color or Black and White

• One will be required to select a storage location where you want to save the file and can be accessed easily later

• In case one wants to add more options as the resolution you can check for the same and then preview the document

• Now one will be required to look for the scan option as soon as you click its scanning of the document will start after the completion of the scanning, you have the option to locate the scanned file where you initially saved it.
